
Clark County School district is the 10th largest school district in the nation with over 200,000 students. Almost one-third of the elementary and middle schools operate on a year-round calendar. The district offers magnet programs geared toward students with unique skills and abilities.
A child planning to attend kindergarten must be 5 years of age by September 30th of the current year. The School District will require proof of age (birth certificate) prior to enrollment.
State law requires all school districts to show proof that every student (kindergarten through grade 12) has the required immunizations. Before enrollment, parent must provide a doctor’s certificate stating their child’s immunization history.

Many nursery schools, kindergartens, and day schools are available in the community representing denominations of Catholic, Hebrew, Christian, Lutheran, and Seventh Day Adventist.
