St. Patrick's Day is coming, and if you can't be in Dublin, Las Vegas is the next best thing!
Vegas is one place that knows how to throw a party, and it takes every opportunity to do it. No surprise that, in a city where you can encounter landmarks borrowed from all over the world, you'll also find plenty of people eager to celebrate Irish heritage every spring.
St. Patrick's Day, like so many things in Vegas, is treated as a week-long event. Even if you can't make it on the big day itself, you'll find plenty of things to do. It also helps that St. Pat's falls on a Saturday this year, so it's easier to take a long weekend and really enjoy.
You won't want to miss these six iconic St. Patrick's Day events:
- Ri Ra Irish Pub
Outside of the Emerald Isle, a truly authentic Irish pub experience is difficult to come by. Ri Ra achieves it with a loving tribute to Irish traditions made up of dozens of beautiful furnishings and decorative pieces brought from Irish pubs and gathered right in Mandalay Bay. As you'd expect, the beer selection is phenomenal – you can choose from 85 bottles and 17 on tap.
- Nine Fine Irishmen
Nine Fine Irishmen is named after a group of nine who fought for Irish independence and each ultimately settled in the United States. In their honor, the bar was completely assembled in Ireland and then shipped to the U.S. and reassembled. Live music is performed nightly with everything from traditional folk music to New Age Celtic rock.
- St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival
No St. Patrick's Day would be complete without a classic parade in the finest tradition. It starts on March 16 with a carnival and live entertainment from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Henderson Events Plaza – and admission is free. On Saturday morning, the parade kicks off in earnest at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon. A car show follows, and Sunday offers seven more hours of festive fun.

- Brews Best St. Patrick's Day at Downtown Summerlin
Brews Best Craft Beer Festival is the #1 event of its kind in Southern Nevada. It commemorates its 11th year in 2018 with an open-air craft beer experience right on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin. Visitors get to enjoy unlimited samples from local and national breweries as well as their very own souvenir tasting glass and tasting guide to remember the event by.
- Celtic Feis
Live entertainment, delicious food, and hearty drinks await at the ninth consecutive Celtic Feis held at legendary New York New York Hotel. The Las Vegas Pipe Band will get things rolling at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The party continues throughout the day, with main events held at Brooklyn Bridge until midnight – and, of course, Nine Fine Irishmen is right within walking distance.
- St. Patrick's Shamrock Celebration on Fremont Street
Fremont Street is a car-free stretch in downtown Las Vegas known for its brilliant assortment of street performers. It spans five beautiful blocks and offers the nightly Fremont Street Experience throughout the year – each evening starts with an incredible light show at dusk. Open-air concerts featuring Irish music of all descriptions will take place throughout St. Patrick's Day weekend.

In Las Vegas, the fun never ends ... on St. Patrick's Day and all year around. If you want to be a part of the action, homes for sale in Las Vegas and homes in Henderson await.
