Las Vegas Stratosphere
If you've been thinking about buying one of the Las Vegas homes for sale, it's a great time to relocate. Art, culture, fabulous shopping, dining, and plenty of nightlife fill our city. Family-friendly fun and recreational activities are unlimited. You'll also find beautiful homes in quiet neighborhoods that fit your lifestyle.

If you're planning a visit to tour homes in our Las Vegas, our real estate agents recommend that you check out the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. It's a full entertainment complex with food, shopping, dining, and classic Vegas fun. When you visit the top of the Stratosphere tower, you'll get an exciting view of Vegas you can't get anyplace else.

The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower

The Stratosphere Tower is part of an entertainment and casino complex located north of the big mid-strip entertainment venues. Unlike those casinos in the heart of the strip, the Stratosphere is actually within the Las Vegas city limits.

It offers traditional Vegas resort-style fun with a few enticements. Room rates are more reasonable than other big strip hotels. Parking is always free. The Stratosphere's tower is fascinating; you'll want to skip check-in and ride straight to the top.

See Vegas From Stratosphere Tower

This fascinating tourist attraction opened in 1996 as part of what was then the Vegas World Casino complex. At 1,149 feet tall, it remains the tallest building in the state of Nevada and the tallest freestanding observation tower in America. The original plan called for a 1,800-foot structure, but the builder changed the specifications when the FAA expressed concerns that it might cause problems for local air traffic.

It's the tower's height that makes the Stratosphere the best place to see the city. Once you're at the top, you'll have a choice of tower sites to maximize your sky-high Vegas view. At the Air Bar, you can sip signature cocktails as you look out over the city. At Top of The World, an elegant rotating restaurant, you can enjoy dinner. The Sky Lounge on the 107th-floor offers cocktails, appetizers, music, and a 360° Vegas View.

There are two tower observation decks. The indoor deck allows you to stay cool and watch the city through angled windows. On the outdoor deck, you can see the city through a viewfinder. If you're feeling especially daring, you can do an 829-foot bungee Sky Jump or take a tower Thrill Ride. Big Shot, X-Scream, and Insanity offer the same thrilling excitement of amusement park rides except at Stratosphere the rides are a thousand feet above the ground.

A Vegas Must-See

If you're staying at one of the mid-strip resorts and don't plan to drive, the tower should still be on your Vegas must-see list. It's not walking distance like most of the strip venues. You can even get there via the monorail, local tour buses, shuttles, or RTC transportation.
